PARASITE 3D KNITTING

As part of the Ro Plastic Prize, we designed Parasite Mat, entirely made of recycled polyester from plastic bottles, which are still a daily presence. It is made through multilayer knitting technology, a continuous process that leads to waste-free production. Cutting edge machines allow to almost completely cut out waste in the production of knitted fabrics. The Parasite Mat can adapt to diverse situations. It can turn into a bike rack cushion, it can wrap metallic bollards or make public stairs temporary-colored sofas.
